Travel Forms

Each Rover is required to fill out an interstate travel form in order to travel to Victoria for Surfmoot.  

Each state’s interstate travel form can be accessed via the following links: 

NSW: Inquire with your Branch office about a T1 form. 
           Refer to your Branch’s forms page. 

SA: T1 Form 
       If driving to Victoria please be aware of the T4 form for P plate drivers. 

QLD: C2 Form 

TAS: Inquire with your Branch office. 

WA: Inquire with your Branch office. 

NT: Inquire with your Branch office. 

ACT: Interstate/Overseas Travel Application 

Coordinate submission of the required forms with your Branch Rover Council (BRC). Upon completion, please email this to the Surfmoot Vice Chair (vice.chair@surfmoot.com) in addition to the required parties outlined by your Branch. 

Contingent Leaders

Each Branch will require a nominated Contingent Leader for the duration of the event. Interstate attendees are to contact their BRC to coordinate the nomination of their Contingent Leader.
The details of your Contingent Leader are to be included in the interstate travel form. 

We ask that BRC’s inform the Surfmoot Vice Chair (vice.chair@surfmoot.com) upon selecting their Contingent Leader.

FLYING

Avalon Airport 

For those arriving and departing from Avalon Airport, the Surfmoot Committee can provide transport via bus directly to and from site via one of our buses. 

You must book your spot on this bus by 12/1/25. Please contact the Surfmoot Vice Chair (vice.chair@surfmoot.com) with your flight details/travel plans to secure your spot. 

 

Melbourne (Tullamarine) Airport 

For those arriving and departing from Melbourne Airport, the Surfmoot Committee can provide pick up and drop off at Geelong Railway Station. Please see our recommendations on how to travel between Melbourne Airport and Geelong Railway Station below. 

  • Direct to Geelong – Gull Airport Service (bus) 

The Gull Airport Service is a shuttle bus that offers transport between Geelong and Melbourne Airport. A service is offered nearly every hour, with a drop off and pick up point at Geelong Railway Station. An adult fare is $39 one way or $72 return.

  • Via Melbourne – Sky Bus Service and V/Line Regional Train 

The Sky Bus is an airport shuttle that runs between Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Train Station in the Melbourne CBD. From here, you can directly interchange with a V/Line train on the Geelong Line to get off at Geelong Railway Station. 

A Sky Bus Melbourne City Express fare is $23.90 one way or $40 return. The Myki fare between Southern Cross Railway Station and Geelong Railway Station is $10.60 each way.

We have a long term parking area onsite. All Rovers who drive to the event will be required to leave their car in the long term parking area, as no vehicles are allowed onsite. Gates are open during the day for people to go offsite and do their own activities (e.g. go down to the beach). People can come and go offsite as many times as needed while gates are open. 

Operoo Information

For your health and safety while at Surfmoot, Scouts Victoria will need access to your Operoo profile. An invite to share your information with Surfmoot will be sent to you via Operoo. To share your profile with us, please log onto your Operoo account and accept this invitation.  

Please ensure all personal and medical information in your Operoo profile is up to date prior to the start of the event. 

Camping Equipment

To assist interstate participants with their needs while at Surfmoot, the committee have a number of offerings available. These include: 

  • Shuttle bus service 

Surfmoot will provide a shuttle bus service to and from Anglesea, the nearest town to the event site. This service can be utilised for essential shopping such as groceries, or for offsite day(s) with your Unit or Contingent. 

  • Equipment Hire 

The Surfmoot Committee can assist in facilitating the hire of camping and cooking supplies/equipment which interstate participants may not be able to reasonably transport to Victoria. Please send any requests for equipment to the Surfmoot Secretary (secretary@surfmoot.com). Some items may be limited and will be hired out on a first come, first served basis.
